Here for your viewing pleasure is pictures of that 1979 Porsche 928 I bought. Found it on CL for $750 saying the A/F is off and that it needs intake gaskets. I offered $550 and trailered it to my place of work. So far I have everything to do the gaskets, but I found a vacuum line loose and reattached it and now I can actually throttle up and she sounds throaty. Mostly due to there being no rear muffler and with them apparently nonexistent anymore I have no Idea what to do with that. Well today after work I washed, clayed, and waxed the car with a quick interior cleaning. So here is what I got...

Trust me, the car doesn’t look this good exterior wise. Due to good lighting, my photography skills, and a good cleaning she looks good from a ways away.

So thats the $550 Porsche 928 with a 4.5l K-Tronics (CIS) mechanical fuel injection, 155k miles, and an A/T. After selling the Fiero I had been perusing CL for something I could get real cheap and let the BF drive because he is always sad he can’t afford a car and can’t get places without asking someone for a ride. He no longer takes the bus after several incidents with one including groping. So I am fixing it up enough to be safe to drive and then maybe we can work on it together and I hope I will be able to get him to be a car guy. And maybe we will sell it for some profit, maybe not. But honestly I couldn’t pass up a Porsche with *cough* some *cough* problems.

The siren song of the 928 has long tempted me but I’m too cowardly to go for it. You are braver than I am, though at $550 you can’t go very wrong unless you plow huge money in to it.

Yeah, it starts, and looks kinda good with the right light, so that is always extra good - someone will need to LeMons it whenever you are ready to give it up, so make it nicer and get a future NP - But flip it fast!

Seems to be a nice price bubble going on - You would probs get 6-8x the return upon some care and then graduate to a better daily driver - But, that’s, just like, my opinion man!
